Research projects

Understanding the dynamic landscape around us becomes ever more important as the climate is rapidly changing and the need for resources is growing. I am interested in a range problems related to the links between tectonics, climate, mantle dynamics, and geomorphic processes. Current projects include:

Weathering of carbonates and silicates in actively uplifting landscapes
Interactions between rivers and actively uplifting folds
Quaternary tectonics of the Pamir-Tian Shan collision zone
Quaternary tectonics along the flanks of the Yellowstone hotspot
